About Cancer section of Reffaq Scientific Health Magazine

Reffaq is an independent project that collects, organizes and explains reliable cancer knowledge in clear language while showing sources, evidence limits and how the content was prepared.

Who is behind Reffaq?

Reffaq’s founder is a cancer patient, not a physician or medical specialist. The role is to curate and organize scientific information and sources. Lived experience helps identify patient questions and needs, but it does not confer medical credentials and is not used to provide personal diagnosis or treatment.

Why do we publish this content?

We start with questions patients and families genuinely ask. The aim is to provide clear, useful answers whose sources can be checked—not to produce large numbers of pages merely to increase content volume or search visibility.

How is a page prepared?

We gather official health sources, relevant guidance, systematic reviews and original studies that fit the question, then compare claims, findings and limitations. We distinguish population-level evidence from what can responsibly be said about one individual.

How do we use AI?

AI assists with structured research, source collection, claim comparison, inconsistency detection and cross-language consistency checks. The output remains under Reffaq editorial oversight. AI is not presented as a physician or as a human medical reviewer.

Evidence selection and review

We prioritize authoritative institutional sources, appropriate guidance, systematic reviews and relevant original studies. Material claims are tied to sources, uncertainty and limitations are made explicit, and population associations are not converted into personal conclusions.

Updates and corrections

We review pages when evidence or sources change, or when an error or material clarification is identified. The source-review date appears on the page and is not changed for purely cosmetic or minor wording edits.

Scope and limits of information

Our content is for general education. It does not diagnose an individual, select a treatment, dose or regimen, or determine personal risk or prognosis. Individual decisions belong with qualified clinicians and care teams who know the patient’s case.

Who reviews the content?

The Reffaq Scientific Health Magazine — Cancer Section Editorial Team is shown on articles as the group that prepared the content and performed editorial evidence review. This is not review by a licensed physician. If an article later receives documented human medical review from a qualified professional, we identify the reviewer, credentials and scope clearly and never claim specialist review that did not occur.
